About
The planned project concept focuses on strengthening innovation in the cultural and creative industries (CCI) at an international level by developing scalable co-creation models and fostering cross-sector collaboration. It addresses a key challenge in the CCI sector—limited transferability and sustainability of innovations in fragmented international ecosystems—by integrating creative experimentation with structured implementation and dissemination mechanisms.
Vilnius College of Design is positioned in the project as a leader in creative innovation, responsible for designing and implementing co-creation labs. These labs function as experimental platforms where innovative solutions are generated and tested by bringing together creative, technological, and business sectors. The aim is to develop practical models that effectively transform creative ideas into applicable and scalable solutions in an international context.
The project also foresees the development of structured methodological tools to systematise creative knowledge, strengthen the balance between innovation creation and implementation, and enhance the capacity of CCI organisations to operate in global markets. Cultural heritage is integrated as a strategic resource for innovation, ensuring contextual relevance and adaptability across different regions.
