About
A network of researchers from the Faroe Islands, Shetland Islands, and Friesland is seeking partners for a project idea targeting the call HORIZON-CL2-2027-01-HERITAGE-07. We are interested in research and strategic collaborative activities exploring the maritime historical, economic, cultural (heritage) and linguistic connections and exchange between coastal, island and rural communities in the North Sea & North Atlantic regions. We are interested in the old sea routes and new connections that influence heritage, belonging, language, identity and future perspectives of the people in the communities. The project shall discuss and examine cultural resilience, shared European values and the meaning of social interdependence and innovation.
