Building Resilient European Communication Structures in Healthcare: Interdisciplinary Research on Medical Disinformation
associate professor at Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra
Nitra, Slovakia
About
The project is developing strong exploitation potential by translating interdisciplinary research on medical disinformation into scalable tools, datasets, and training resources tailored to the needs of healthcare systems, public institutions, media organisations, and educational actors. Being developed in collaboration with medical experts, linguists, and sociologists from leading Central European academic institutions such as The Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University, it integrates clinical validation with advanced discourse analysis and digital humanities methods. Core outputs, including an interactive platform, curated multilingual corpora, and analytical frameworks, are being designed as deployable services supporting evidence-based health communication, rapid response to disinformation, and institutional capacity building within healthcare and public health sectors. These solutions address urgent European challenges of information integrity and public trust, creating opportunities for integration into healthcare communication strategies, public procurement, and professional training markets.
Building on this foundation, the project is being structured for high scalability and transferability across EU contexts, offering adaptable methodologies and platform-based services that can be implemented and co-developed with new partners. Ongoing collaboration will ensure scientific robustness and societal relevance, while the consortium will actively expand to include healthcare providers, European public authorities, NGOs, relevant media actors, and research organisations. For partners, the project will provide direct access to validated datasets, analytical tools, and co-creation opportunities in emerging digital services such as monitoring systems, advisory frameworks, and strategic health communication solutions, strengthening European capacities to counter the spread of disinformation
