A Structured Approach to Talent Development in Europe

Head of Student Programs and Projects at Dasato Slovakia at DASATO Slovensko

Bratislava, Slovakia

About

Drawing on proven experience in connecting education with real-world practice, DASATO brings a structured approach to talent development through its flagship programme — DASATO Academy.

DASATO Academy is the core of the entire initiative. It is an educational programme designed to systematically develop 21st-century skills — critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, and digital literacy — through real-world projects, mentorship, and innovation-driven learning. Rather than relying on traditional knowledge transfer, the Academy is built on the principles of experiential learning: young people learn by solving real challenges, working in international teams, and receiving feedback from industry professionals. Each participant follows a structured journey — from idea development through prototyping to presenting outcomes to real partners.

A key role of DASATO is to build and manage a European network of incubators and partners — aligning methodologies, facilitating cross-border collaboration, and creating opportunities for teams to work on international challenges. The Academy serves as the shared educational framework across the entire network: regardless of country or incubator, all participants have access to the same quality of education, the same tools, and the same competency development methodology. At the same time, DASATO acts as a bridge between young people and the private sector — translating real business needs into meaningful project experiences that bring young people not only solutions, but also transferable skills applicable in any professional context.

An integral part of the Academy is the mentorship and development framework. DASATO engages leading European professionals — entrepreneurs, business leaders, and industry experts — who support young talent not only with expert guidance, but also with the development of self-direction, entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to learn from experience. Mentors are active co-creators of the learning process, not merely advisors.

Beyond network coordination, DASATO places strong emphasis on quality, impact, and scalability across the entire model. It sets standards for competency development, measures both learning outcomes and innovation outputs, and continuously improves the Academy programme with the goal of creating long-term systemic change — one that shapes not only individual careers, but the entire culture of innovation and lifelong learning in Europe.
