About
DIAK – Diaconia University of Applied Sciences (Finland) is interested in partnering in this call to address growing inequalities in youth well-being. Recent assessments highlight increasing mental health challenges among young people and regional disparities in Finland. In this context, we are particularly interested in the role of digital leisure environments (including online gambling and other online activities) and their impact on youth well-being outside formal education settings.
DIAK brings expertise in applied research and the development of preventive service models in social and health services. We are interested in exploring hybrid approaches where social enterprises, public authorities and civil society collaborate to provide preventive wellbeing services. As a university of applied sciences educating social and health professionals, we are well positioned to connect research, user involvement, and real-life service pilots, helping translate project outcomes into practical service models
