About
Mediavoice is an innovative Italian company founded in 2000, specializing in patented AI-based assistive solutions for blind and visually impaired users. From the outset, we have been active in the assistive technology market, with a strong focus on speech and accessibility technologies. Our solutions are designed to support blind, visually impaired, and elderly people, enabling them to access digital content more easily and independently. Our core technology is a patented Software Development Kit (SDK), protected in Europe, the UK, and the USA, which can be seamlessly integrated into any software or platform.
Building on this technology, we have developed SpeakyAI, a multilingual application that allows users to access any digital content on a smartphone, including apps, websites, and documents, regardless of language, even when such content is not accessible through traditional screen readers.
Mediavoice has participated in several European projects, including Horizon Europe, FP7, and Erasmus+. Within European projects, MV can play multiple complementary roles, combining technological expertise with user validation and market-oriented implementation. We contribute to the design and development of AI-based assistive technologies, including voice interfaces, conversational systems, and accessible digital navigation tools. Through our patented SDK and expertise in speech technologies, we support the integration of accessibility features into digital platforms, mobile applications, and online services. We also engage in research activities related to artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and human–computer interaction, with a particular focus on voice-based interaction and accessibility solutions for people with visual impairments.
Mediavoice supports pilot activities and real-life testing of project solutions. Thanks to our experience in the assistive technology sector and our network of users, we contribute to validating prototypes and improving solutions based on real user feedback.
We facilitate the involvement of blind and visually impaired users in co-creation activities, usability testing, and evaluation processes, ensuring that developed solutions effectively address the needs of target groups.
Finally, MV contributes to dissemination and exploitation activities, supporting the transfer of innovative solutions to the assistive technology market and to organizations working in accessibility and disability support.
