Integrated Full-Stack Toolkit for Cultural Space Revitalisation
We're forming a Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Action (RIA) consortium to build a full-stack toolkit for cultural spaces (e.g. museums, libraries & theaters): combining advanced digital technologies, research methodological frameworks, operational guidelines, and implementation support.
Mission: recontextualise existing cultural spaces and archived knowledge, through integrative artistic, technological and participatory approaches; enable a balanced partnership of equals with the meaningful transfer of knowledge, skills, and tools between arts, science, and society; fostering engagement with new generations and envision the future generation needs and interests; enhance knowledge communication practices and develop advanced tools for knowledge experience, co-creation, and exchange across disciplines and audiences. Goal: develop and validate prototypes at Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 4–6, demonstrating their feasibility in relevant environments and their potential for further scaling. The solutions will be designed for transferability to creative and cultural markets, and to adjacent application domains including education, social inclusion, professional training, and healthcare, thereby enabling cross-sectoral impact and sustainable uptake.
Aligned with Focus 2, the toolkit will leverage emerging, avant-garde yet accessible technologies: GenAI, generative hallucination, AI transformers, sonic embodiment; Immersive multisensual arts, haptic, & multi-modal audio-visual tech; Spatial computing - real-time sensing, motion-capture and interaction.
The project will unfold in three phases: co-development of prototypes, real life case studies with implementation support and feedback loops, & finalization with evaluation and market assessment.
