Nadvirna City Council

Nadvirna City Council (Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine) is looking to join a

consortium under HORIZON-NEB-2026-01-PARTICIPATION-02 as one of the pilot

neighbourhoods for testing innovative, participatory approaches to public

space design.

We offer:

- A concrete, ready-to-discuss public space in Nadvirna (town centre / castle

 area) with an active local government partner motivated to engage residents

 in co-creation processes;

- First-hand experience of community resilience and public space use under

 wartime conditions, including internally displaced persons integration,

 which adds a distinctive social dimension to the project's gender, age and

 identity-focused research;

- An engaged Investment Policy Department with experience coordinating

 international grant-funded projects and working with EU partners;

- Institutional readiness to support participatory design activities with

 local residents, cultural institutions, and civil society organisations.

We are looking for a lead partner / research institution with experience in

research-by-design, life-centric design or participatory urban planning

methodologies, ideally already building a consortium and seeking a third

pilot neighbourhood (in addition to two EU/Associated Country locations).
