About
The Institute of Social Sciences in Belgrade is a scientific research institution recognised as an Institute of National Significance for the Republic of Serbia. It comprises six research centres: the Centre for Demographic Research, the Centre for Political Research and Public Opinion, the Centre for Economic Research, the Centre for Legal Research, the Centre for Sociological and Anthropological Research, and the Centre for Philosophy.
The work of the Institute is based on research into fundamental social phenomena, the advancement of scientific thinking and methodology in the social sciences, the professional development of researchers, cooperation with professional institutions and organisations, and the application of research results in public policy.
For Horizon Europe and New European Bauhaus consortia, the IDN can contribute as a social sciences and humanities (SSH) partner, with expertise in demography, public opinion and survey research, sociology and anthropology, economics, law, and policy analysis. We are particularly interested in the call HORIZON-NEB-2026-01-PARTICIPATION-03 ("Understanding inhabitants' experiences of neighbourhoods to support their health and well-being").
