Laurène Mathey is an independent consultant specialised in European project development, consortium building and international cooperation.
With nearly 10 years of experience in European projects, she has worked with hospitals, universities, research organisations, NGOs, cultural institutions and European networks, supporting the full project cycle from project conception and partnership building to proposal development, implementation, dissemination and reporting.
Her expertise includes:
• Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, EU4Health, CERV, Creative Europe and Interreg programmes;
• consortium building and partner engagement;
• project design and proposal development;
• stakeholder engagement and multi-actor governance;
• dissemination, communication and capacity-building activities;
• impact pathways, evaluation frameworks and exploitation strategies;
• European cooperation in health, social inclusion, education, culture and community development.
Before becoming an independent consultant, she served as Director of Projects at the European Health Management Association (EHMA) in Brussels, where she coordinated European collaborative projects and developed strategic partnerships across Europe.
She also created and managed the EU Funding and International Development Unit at the University Hospitals of Lyon and worked as European Projects and Partnerships Manager in the disability sector, coordinating Erasmus+ projects and international cooperation initiatives supporting adults with intellectual disabilities.
Her multidisciplinary background combines health, social inclusion, research, culture and community engagement, making her particularly interested in New European Bauhaus initiatives addressing inclusive environments, accessibility, social innovation, participation, wellbeing, independent living, neighbourhood transformation and community-centred approaches.
She is open to joining consortia as:

In addition to consultancy services, Laurène is also interested in contributing to research, qualitative studies, stakeholder consultations, participatory approaches, impact assessment and implementation activities within Horizon Europe and NEB projects.
