About

Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design is a, highly dynamic art university, one of the most prominent in the CEE region. While building on its 140 years legacy, MOME constantly innovates itself to stay progressive and futureproof. MOME is home to quality education, research and innovation, where with the tools of creativity, the institution works for a future where people are at the center. The university has always played a decisive role in the development of Hungarian design life and has been since its creation an outstanding institution of the local art and design scene. MOME’s three-pillar model consists of education, technology and research & development. The three units do not operate in isolation from each other, but in interaction and with a mechanism of mutual reinforcement. The university’s educational structure comprises the fields of design (Design Institute), architecture (Institute of Architecture), media arts (Media Institute), and theoretical studies (Institute for Theoretical Studies). Education at MOME is characterized by interdisciplinary, integrated approach, design- and research-based thinking. The university offers three study-levels: BA, MA and DLA/PhD (Doctoral Degree).
