AMAVA is an independent consultancy at the intersection of urban development, strategic communications and creative leadership. Founded by Andrea Renger – urban planner, facilitator and impact communicator with over 7 years of international experience – AMAVA brings together the rigour of urban policy with the human sensitivity of participatory practice.
We work where transformation happens: in neighbourhoods, with communities, alongside policymakers and practitioners who believe that liveable spaces are shaped by the people who inhabit them.
Our name reflects our purpose: amava — rooted in the idea of voices, experiences and collective agency — for change — committed to measurable, lasting impact.
AMAVA operates across four interconnected practice areas:
-
Regenerative Urban and Rural Development & Participatory Planning
-
Integrated Aproach (place-based, cross-sectoral, multi-actor partnerships)
-
Strategic Communications for Impact Visibility
-
Capacity Development, Training & Leadership
The New European Bauhaus calls for projects that unite beauty, sustainability and inclusion - not as abstract principles, but as lived realities in neighbourhoods. This is precisely what AMAVA does.
We bring:
-
Proven capacity to facilitate inclusive, participatory processes with real communities
-
A track record of translating urban research into actionable policy and practice
-
Strategic communications expertise to ensure project results are visible, transferable and impactful
-
An international network spanning urban practitioners, municipalities, NGOs and research institutions
-
Direct alignment with NEB's core themes: health and well-being in neighbourhoods, spatial justice, green transition and human-centred design
We are actively seeking consortium partners for HORIZON-NEB-2026-01-PARTICIPATION-03 and are open to roles as co-applicant, community engagement lead or communications and dissemination partner.
