About

EPMA plays a central role in translating environmental and climate policies into real, operational systems in Lithuania. Because EPMA implements national and EU-funded programmes across waste management, circular economy, building renovation, energy efficiency, air quality and climate action, the agency understands how EU directives and national laws function in practice, not only on paper. This includes designing procedures, setting standards, monitoring compliance, and ensuring that environmental reforms are actually delivered. EPMA's experience allows partner countries to learn not only what the EU acquis requires, but how to build the institutional, administrative and technical systems needed to implement it.

EPMA manages some of the largest climate, energy and environmental investment programmes in Lithuania − including EU cohesion funds, national climate investments, renovation schemes, renewable energy support and circular economy measures. This gives APVA deep competence in:

  • designing funding instruments,

  • evaluating and selecting projects,

  • administering grants,

  • ensuring transparency and accountability,

• reporting to the European Commission,

• and tracking environmental results.
