ÖKOBÜRO - Alliance of the (Austrian) Environmental Movement, is an organisation with legal and political expertise, which focuses on environmental law, sustainable development, democracy and civic engagement.
Our aim is to develop solutions that make it possible to harmonise the use and protection of the environment in the long term. To achieve this, we provide information and factual analyses, participate in environmental procedures and conduct political discussions with decision-makers. We are committed to a democratic constitutional state and fair, participatory solutions in the environmental sector (and beyond).
ÖKOBÜRO's expertise is characterized on the one hand by a team of four lawyers - with knowledge on national, international and EU environmental law as well as vast experience with participatory processes. On the other hand, ÖKOBÜRO offers expertise in SDG governance, sufficiency, climate action, and socioecological transformation of societies. The sustainability team further coordinates the platform SDG Watch Austria (over 230 member organisations) which offers extensive contacts and expertise from civil society organisations and associated partners from academia, business and public administration.
