Cluster Ecodomus

Ecodomus currently links 67 SMEs, with an overall workforce of around 811 units, and 9 entities, including local authorities, research institutes and various associations active in the construction sector. The Ecodomus Regional District was officially recognized by the Sicilian Region with the Regional Productive Activities Department Decree n. 745 on 22/03/2012. It was renewed with Decree n. 2498/11 on 15/11/2021. The Ecodomus Regional District mission is to support the companies of the regional territory in the joint planning and implementation of environmental sustainability strategies in the building sector. Eco-innovation of product and process, energy and resource efficiency, ecocompatible design, are just some of the objectives pursued by the aggregation. Ecodomus covers the entire sustainable construction value chain. Main goals are: 1) Promote collaboration among enterprises, research centers and public administration 2) Improve the economic and environmental competitiveness of SMEs in the national and international markets, by means of eco-innovation of the productive processes, 3)Improve the know-how and the expertise of SMEs 4) Support the public administrations in green public procurement strategies
