The International Maritime College Oman (IMCO) is a unique college in Oman, the GCC countries and beyond. IMCO was established on 24 April 2005. IMCO’s uniqueness lies in providing the Sultanate of Oman, the region and beyond with high-quality education, professional training, research, consultancy and community services that are responsive to the evolving needs of the industry. As such, the college is committed to teaching excellence, continuous improvement and promoting lifelong learning, thus, becoming a learning institution of choice for students, aspiring professionals and employers.

All IMCO programmes are based on three main pillars precisely theoretical study, simulations and apprenticeship which make the education experience at IMCO unique and more focused on preparing the graduates for the real-life job. Because of its uniqueness, the College currently has students from the Sultanate and outside. This includes students from the UAE, KSA, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait Iraq, Egypt, India, Lebanon, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Bangladesh, and Nigeria.
