ARQubator

ARQubator is an architects’ NGO that incubates sustainable, inclusive and beautiful built-environment solutions through participatory, game-based co-design with local communities—especially children, schools and youth. In our team besides architects, we have urban planners, pedagogues and psychologists. We design and develop participatory games as tools for engagement, learning and decision-making, enabling people to explore complex spatial challenges and co-create shared visions for their neighbourhoods. We translate community insights into actionable concepts, prototypes and pilots, connecting academia, municipalities, civil society and practitioners to move from ideas to implementation. Our work pioneers Baukultur by strengthening design quality, cultural value and social cohesion while addressing climate and place-based challenges through collaborative design and evidence-informed practice. Our game-based method Game Spector was recognized with the UIA Golden Cubes Awards, highlighting our commitment to innovative architectural education and participation.
