Maltepe Municipality is a local authority in Istanbul, Türkiye, committed to inclusive, sustainable, and participatory urban development and actively engages in international cooperation. Maltepe Municipality has taken part in various EU-funded projects, particularly in the fields of social inclusion, gender equality, and tactical urbanism.
Through EU-Funded projects such as the BUDGET-IT project on gender-responsive budgeting and its involvement in Horizon Europe programmes, Maltepe Municipality collaborates with international partners to develop evidence-based policies and share best practices. Maltepe municipality also leads and contributes to local strategies and aims to promote equal access to services and opportunities for all citizens.
