App for users of EAP Sardenya with arrival detection and IA chat assistant
Director d'Innovació at EAP SARDENYA
Barcelona, Spain
About
The new app also seeks to respond to patients who prefer to use their own device to carry out procedures, thus overcoming the physical limitation of the totems installed in the center. In addition, following the current trend where many users prefer not to make calls, the platform will allow them to manage health aspects privately and securely through a chat system.
Project Objectives
• Provide an automated and seamless way to confirm the patient's arrival at the center, with validation through geolocation or Bluetooth connection.
• Offer a self-management experience from the mobile, with notifications and guidance according to the patient's needs, such as the location of the appointment and the generation of shift tickets.
• Facilitate the resolution of doubts and administrative procedures through an AI chat system that allows interaction by both text and audio.
• Reduce waiting time and optimize the center's resources, promoting the use of the application for autonomous management.
Key functionalities of the APP:
-
Patient arrival detection o Geolocation and Bluetooth: Automatic notifications: When detecting the patient's arrival, the app will send a notification according to the case:
-
Patient with a scheduled appointment: The notification will include information about the location of the service (office, waiting room) and the shift code so that the patient is attentive when they are called.
-
Patient without a scheduled appointment: The app will offer the possibility of carrying out the same procedures that the totems allow, including requesting an appointment, consulting procedures or updating data. o Self-management of procedures from the mobile: If the patient does not have an appointment, they will be able to initiate administrative processes directly from the app, such as requesting information, booking an appointment or updating personal information, among others.
-
Assistance with integrated AI chat o Chat with AI: The chat system will allow the patient to consult frequently asked questions and resolve doubts related to center services, availability of appointments, procedures or other relevant information.
-
Audio and text capability: Patients will be able to write their queries or send audio messages if they prefer, which is especially useful for those with writing difficulties or who need quick answers. o Integration with the center's APIs: The AI will connect with existing APIs to access appointment data, schedules, procedure information, etc., so that it can offer accurate and personalized answers.
-
Response customization: The system must be able to interpret the patient's query and respond in a personalized way through AI, using APIs when necessary to offer information about appointments, procedures or other available services, without the need for human intervention.
-
Additional configurations and functionalities
-
Notifications and personalized guidance: The app will allow patients to receive detailed instructions based on their query, appointment or desired procedure, with visual and textual guidance.
-
Multiple languages: The chat AI will detect the patient's preferred language or allow it to be selected, thus adapting to the diverse population of the center.
-
Consultation and procedure history: Patients will be able to access a history to review their latest interactions with the AI or see scheduled appointments and previous consultations.
-
Custom alert configuration: Possibility to configure reminders or alerts, such as notification of their upcoming appointment or the need to complete a procedure.
-
Support for future procedures: The system will be designed to be flexible and adaptable, allowing more functionalities to be added in the future according to the needs of patients or the center's services.
-
Technology and integration • Geolocation and Bluetooth: Bluetooth geolocation and proximity technologies to accurately detect arrival at the center.• AI Chat Platform: Integration of an AI engine with the ability to interpret text and audio, and connectivity with the center’s internal APIs to provide real-time data-driven responses.• Data Protection Compliance: Ensure that the app complies with GDPR regulations for patient data protection.• User-friendly and intuitive interface: Visual design optimized for a smooth and intuitive experience, especially for older patients or those with less experience in mobile applications.
