I am researcher and assistant professor at Lusofona University, Lisbon, Portugal. I am specialized in extracellular vesicles (EVs) and their applications in diagnosis and therapeutics. My work includes the exploitation of the application of EVs in host-microbiome interactions, gut health, and the development of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. I am particularly interested in the use of EVs derived from food and microbiota as tools to study gut physiology, inflammation, and disorders.
