EVROPAIKO ETHELONTIKO KAI EKPAIDEFTIKO KENTRO (EVEC Athens) is a non-profit organisation based in Athens, Greece, working at the intersection of urban sustainability, sustainable food systems, and social innovation.

The organisation designs and implements practical urban farming and microgreens pilots, applying circular economy principles, low-cost production models, and community participation. EVEC focuses on translating policy goals into real-life local actions, engaging citizens, youth, migrants, and local stakeholders.

EVEC has experience in pilot projects, community-based initiatives, capacity building and international cooperation, and regularly collaborates with municipalities, NGOs, schools, VET providers and social enterprises.

Within Horizon Europe Missions, EVEC is particularly interested in contributing to Climate-neutral and Smart Cities, Soil Health, Climate Adaptation and sustainable food-related initiatives, offering local implementation, citizen engagement, testing environments and replicable models for mission-driven consortia.
