About
The mission of Legambiente is to make the environmental culture the centre of a new kind of development and diffused well-being.
Important values for the association are the improvement of environmental quality of Italian cities and countryside, the fight against all forms of pollution, a wiser use of natural resources, the construction of a more balanced relationship between human beings and nature.
Legambiente, for more than twenty years, has been managing projects funded by European Commission in several funding programmes as LIFE and LIFE +, Intelligent Energy Europe, many INTERREG, HORIZON2020, Europe AID, Erasmus +, on the following themes: sustainable development, conservation of nature and its resources, promotion of renewable energy, climate change, sustainable mobility. Legambiente is currently involved in several projects where Legambiente leads managing awareness activities and stakeholders engagement, citizen science activities, training, policy proposal and advocacy.
