HORIZON-MISS-2026-01-CLIMA-03 cooperation profile — seeking partners for objective 1 reference climate data & scenarios

Global Infrastructure Basel Foundation (GIB) is looking for partners to join a consortium for HORIZON-MISS-2026-01-CLIMA-03: Standardising and supporting climate services to serve climate adaptation.

GIB’s contribution is focused on Objective 2 use cases, particularly climate resilience of public and critical infrastructure investments and climate finance proofing. Through our role as Secretariat of the FAST-Infra Label, we can support end-user engagement and pathways to pilot/application in real investment and infrastructure decision contexts.

To succeed, we primarily seek partners leading Objective 1 activities, specifically organisations that can provide:

• Reference climate datasets and scenarios suitable for standardised climate services across EU member states and at multiple scales (continental/national/regional)

• Robust approaches for selecting/distilling/consolidating datasets and scenarios, including traceable uncertainty quantification and uncertainty communication for decision-making

• A mechanism for regular updates of scenarios aligned with evolving emissions pathways and scientific evidence

• Links to key climate data/modelling initiatives and operational pipelines (e.g., CMIP, CORDEX, DestinE) and experience bridging to standardisation processes for climate services

We are interested in collaborations where Objective 1 outputs can be operationalised and tested in infrastructure investment contexts, with GIB supporting usability, uptake and demonstration.
