AI-driven Short-term and long-term hyper-localized extreme events predictions
EU Programme Manager at EURECAT
Barcelona, Spain
About
Eurecat’s Applied Artificial Intelligence team offers expertise to support consortia preparing proposals under Horizon Europe Mission Climate Adaptation topics.
This includes:
-
AI-driven modelling and forecasting of extreme events (e.g. heatwaves, droughts, floods and compound events) at high spatial resolution.
-
Fusion of heterogeneous data sources, combining Earth observation (e.g. Copernicus), in-situ measurements, climate models and local datasets.
-
Hybrid approaches integrating physical models with machine learning to improve robustness across time scales.
-
Decision-support and early warning tools tailored to local and regional users.
Eurecat can contribute as an RTO partner, supporting model development, validation, pilots and integration into adaptation strategies and services.
