CTN as Technical Partner for Applied Ocean Innovation, Data Integration
Head of Marine Conservation and Restoration Area at Centro Tecnológico Naval y del Mar (CTN)
Cartagena, Murcia, Spain
About
CTN is a multidisciplinary technology centre focused on the development, integration and deployment of applied technical solutions for environmental and marine challenges. Our work is positioned between scientific research and real-world implementation, with a strong emphasis on robustness, scalability and operational applicability in EU-funded projects.
CTN is currently collaborating with well-established European partners (research organisations, technology providers and applied innovation actors) and has actively participated in the preparation of similar Horizon Europe proposals in recent calls, which were evaluated as highly competitive and demonstrated strong technical and conceptual potential. Building on this experience, we are confident that the underlying ideas, approaches and consortia configurations are mature and well aligned with the objectives of the 2026 Ocean Mission calls.
Across the three targeted topics, CTN can contribute as a technical partner through:
-
Integration and processing of heterogeneous environmental and marine data, including remote sensing, in situ observations and derived indicators.
-
Development and application of technical methodologies and analytical workflows supporting large-scale demonstrations, system-level assessments and cross-site comparability.
-
Support to operational deployment, ensuring that technical solutions, tools and methodologies are robust, reproducible and transferable beyond pilot environments.
-
Technical coordination and system integration, particularly in projects requiring alignment of multiple sites, datasets, infrastructures or technological components.
CTN’s added value lies in strengthening the technical backbone of consortia, complementing scientific excellence with applied expertise that supports implementation, validation and scaling. We are particularly interested in joining consortia as a core technical partner and contributing to technically driven work packages related to data integration, analysis, demonstration and operational frameworks.
We are actively seeking collaboration with coordinators and partners preparing proposals for the 2026 Ocean Mission calls and would welcome the opportunity to further discuss our potential role and technical contribution.
