About
FRESCI develops AI software and biomedical knowledge platforms, alongside scientific and regulatory strategy services, for organisations advancing human-relevant research and health technologies.
Our expertise spans New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), stem cells, advanced experimental models and translational research. We help teams organise complex evidence, assess development options and turn specialist knowledge into tools for research and industry workflows.
AI Software and Biomedical Tools
Our track record includes BimmoH, the Biomedical Models Hub developed for the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, and NATworks, a platform mapping organisations, technologies and services across the non-animal research ecosystem.
Within VISI-ON-BRAIN, we are developing the AI architecture and evaluating models for a specialist laboratory assistant. The system is intended to integrate microscopy images, biomarker measurements and laboratory data to assess cell differentiation and provide contextual, step-by-step support to laboratory teams.
Our development pipeline also includes regulatory intelligence for vaccine testing and translational decision support for pharma, informed by our research published in the Journal of Translational Medicine.
Scientific and Regulatory Strategy
We support NAM and biomedical-platform teams preparing for partnering, funding, regulatory discussions and market adoption. Our work connects intended use, evidence quality, validation needs and stakeholder requirements, helping organisations identify gaps and define practical development roadmaps.
Scientific expertise informs our product development, while direct engagement with research and industry teams helps us build tools around specific user needs and decisions.
Collaboration Opportunities
We work with pharma and biotech companies, research institutions, testing laboratories, technology developers and public-interest organisations.
We welcome discussions with organisations seeking scientific and regulatory strategy support, industry teams interested in evaluating biomedical AI applications, and technology partners bringing expertise in multimodal AI, knowledge representation, software engineering and laboratory integration.
Our aim is to establish focused collaborations with a defined use case, clear responsibilities and measurable outcomes.
