Open to project cooperation activities

The Department of Biomedical and Biotechnological Sciences (BIOMETEC) promotes national and international project cooperation by developing interdisciplinary research partnerships with universities, research institutions, hospitals, public authorities, and private companies. Its activities focus on the joint development and implementation of research projects in biomedical sciences, biotechnology, molecular medicine, cancer research, immunology, neuroscience, clinical laboratory medicine, and translational research.

BIOMETEC supports collaborative project design, the preparation of competitive funding proposals, and participation in national, European, and international research programmes. Cooperation activities include the establishment of multidisciplinary research networks, the sharing of scientific expertise and technological infrastructures, joint experimental activities, data integration, and the development of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. The Department also promotes researcher mobility, doctoral training, knowledge exchange, and partnerships with industry to facilitate technology transfer and the translation of scientific discoveries into clinical and societal applications.

Through these initiatives, BIOMETEC aims to strengthen international scientific collaboration, increase participation in competitive research funding schemes, and foster sustainable partnerships that generate scientific innovation and contribute to improved human health.
