WINERY Since time immemorial, noble vines have been rooted here in the womb of the earth! On gentle hills, the family cultivates about 25ha of vineyards. In addition to (former) winemaker Koarl, Katharina and Karl Gregor are responsible here. In addition to excellent whites (30%), it is above all opulent red wines (70%), which are led here to high maturity. The range of varieties includes the typical Styrian line such as Weissburgunder, Welschriesling, Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay and goes deep into the red wine range with autochthonous Zweigelt, to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Shiraz. The imposing barrel cellar houses about 500 barrique barrels (225l) from different vintages, filled with mainly red wines from special years - is stage for enjoyable events - and living room for the wine to perfection. The production cellar, no less interesting, and well thought out for processing, houses the large stainless steel tanks (container sizes between 1,000l - 12,500l) for fermentation and storage, mainly of white grape varieties, as well as its own bottling plant and storage facility for the finished wine bottles. In the wine press house on the upper floor, a high degree of quality maximization is practiced during the harvest phase, in that the red grape varieties are allowed to remain in mash fermentation tanks for several days or even weeks for fermentation in order to be able to extract the full color and aroma substances from the grapes.
