MEDICA, the world’s leading trade fair for medical technology and the healthcare industry, will offer many new formats, stages, and networking opportunities starting in 2026, bringing together companies, startups, investors, healthcare providers, the scientific community, and international partners. The goal is to create concrete opportunities for international collaboration, market access, investment, and growth. Here are some more exciting offers from Messe Düsseldorf during the trade show:

1. New: MEDICA Investment & Growth Lounge 
For the first time, the Investment & Growth Lounge will be held in Hall 17 at MEDICA. It serves as a central meeting point for investment, strategic partnerships, M&A activities, international market access, and growth opportunities within the healthcare industry.
The Lounge is designed for exhibitors, investors, corporate venture capital representatives, strategic partners, M&A professionals, and other relevant business partners from the international healthcare ecosystem.
Prior to the trade fair, exhibiting companies and investors can communicate their interests and priorities. Based on this information, we will assess whether relevant contacts can be identified and selected meetings can be arranged in advance to take place in the Lounge.
The Investment & Growth Lounge is a curated format with restricted access. Potential contacts will be identified and prepared ahead of MEDICA; ad hoc matchmaking and meeting arrangements on site will not be available.

2. Investment & Growth Day – Dienstag, 17. November 2026

Moderated by Prof. Dr. Rainer Minz, experienced investors and business angels will discuss investment prospects, financing, and collaboration with startups.
- Investor Tour of the MEDICA Start-up Park | ab ca. 11:50 Uhr, Treffpunkt: MEDICA Start-up Stage, Halle 17, Stand B22
The tour offers investors and corporate venture capital representatives the opportunity to learn about selected startups and their solutions.
- MEDICA Start-up Competition | 15:00–17:00 Uhr, MEDICA Main Stage, Halle 12
The Top Medical Startups of 2026 will present their solutions in the pitch finals before an international jury. Afterward, the event moves to MEDICA Startup Night in Hall 17, a must-attend event for all startups and investors.
3. For innovative startups: Participation in the MEDICA Start-up Park and the MEDICA Start-up Stage program
Startups that would like to present their solutions to an international professional audience can find information about participating in the MEDICA Start-up Park and the program of the MEDICA Start-up Stage in Hall 17.
The MEDICA Start-up Park brings together innovative companies from sectors such as AI, Digital Health, MedTech, Robotics, and Diagnostics. It offers an opportunity to showcase solutions to international decision-makers, connect with potential partners, and gain visibility among investors and industry stakeholders. In addition, exhibiting startups at MEDICA and COMPAMED can participate in the matchmaking program of the Investment & Growth Lounge until 15 October 2026. Through the exhibitor questionnaire, they can share their strategic interests and objectives, enabling the assessment and preparation of potential connections with suitable investors, strategic partners, and other business partners ahead of the trade fair.
The MEDICA Start-up Stage offers an exciting program across all four days of the trade fair, ranging from Pitch & Connect Sessions with international startups and panel discussions to Knowledge Hubs featuring valuable insights and practical tips for startups.

4. Women in Health Day, Dienstag, 17. November 2026, MEDICA INNOVATION FORUM, Halle 11 J09
Women in Health is a MEDICA initiative and platform launched in 2024. The Women in Health Day offers a comprehensive program, including a CXO Roundtable, curated Expert Table Networking, and panel discussions.
All female MEDICA attendees are invited to participate in the Expert Table Networking session with Table Captains on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (registration required). The networking session will be followed by an engaging panel discussion on the stage of the MEDICA INNOVATION FORUM.
