Welcome to the WWTF ME/CFS Fellowship Networking Website
We’re excited to bring together young ME/CFS researchers with researchers willing to host fellows in their labs and keep on advancing the understanding of ME/CFS for a period of exchange, collaboration, and community building.Whether you aim to find a host lab, connect with a potential fellow, or explore new directions in ME/CFS research, this event is the place to be.
This networking event will feature leading experts and emerging talents sharing insights into cutting-edge research, methodological innovations, and upcoming opportunities under the WWTF ME/CFS Fellowship.
It is conceptualized around
(1) Online Matchmaking and
(2) In-Person Workshop on the 28th of November (starting at 1pm) at the Medical University of Vienna as part of the Young EMERG International ME Workshop Series - Vienna 2025
WWTF Call Facts
Scope of the Call
This call invites early career ME/CFS researchers to conduct a six months research stay in Vienna or abroad. The ME/CFS Fellowship programme aims to strengthen the ME/CFS community by supporting excellent young scientists, helping to accumulate expertise on ME/CFS within various research groups in Vienna. The programme provides a stipend for fellows to learn new methods and techniques in renowned laboratories in Vienna or abroad. The fellowship should help young researchers forge and strengthen international connections early in their career and enrich the ME/CFS research community in Vienna with their expertise.
Who can apply?

Early career researchers starting at PhD level (exceptions can be made for outstanding young researchers already showing academic success at an earlier stage of education)

The applicants must be based / will be hosted at a university or non-university research institution in Vienna
