As the space industry advances towards more complex and autonomous missions, the need for robust, model-based validation and verification (V&V) capabilities becomes increasingly critical. The "SysML v2 Validation and Verification for Future Space MBSE" workshop at ESA MBSE 2025 addresses this need head-on, combining forward-looking insights with hands-on exploration.

This session offers a practical deep dive into how SysML v2—currently gaining momentum across both academic and industrial sectors—can address long-standing limitations in validation and verification within Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). While SysML v1 tools have supported MBSE practices for years, significant functional and conceptual gaps have persisted, particularly in tool support and industry adoption.

SysML v2 proposes to bridge many of these gaps, but its V&V capabilities remain under-explored and are not yet embedded in most workflows.

Designed to cater to both general MBSE practitioners and technically advanced users, the workshop will blend foundational overviews with interactive segments where participants can engage with emerging tools, early-use cases, and validation strategies.

Whether you're new to SysML or an experienced architect, you’ll gain valuable insight into how V&V in SysML v2 can shape the future of space system design.
