CDP4-COMET 101
The participants will learn how to use CDP4-COMET during the session with a given exercise that will be prepared for them to follow a simulation of a Concurrent Design session to design and model a satellite. Previous knowledge on the tool or with other MBSE tools in general is not required for this activity.
It will be a guided session led by the team of experts developing the tool, where non-expert users will be able to follow more detailed instructions, while more advanced users might be able to work individually on the tasks while supporting the rest of the team.
Each participant will be assigned to a specific role/domain of expertise, and will need to follow specific instructions to complete the model in CDP4-COMET while solving misunderstandings and conflicts with other disciplines.
They will learn skills on the MBSE aspects of tools like COMET, while applying this to a realistic design of a system. The Starion team will make sure they get the required support during the session, and will explain the outcomes at the end, showing the results in terms of reports and budgets, traceability matrices, and requirements verification.
The knowledge and experience gained with this exercise can be applied to other MBSE tools and methods. Making use of the concurrent design principles and the expertise and guidance offered by the team from Starion Group, the attendees will experience how to use the tools in a collaborative set-up.
