Application of a SysML v2 MBSE/Digital Engineering Methodology in a Collaborative Group Work
- SysML v2
- MBSE
- Collaboration and Information Exchange
- Methodology
Objectives and Outcomes:
Participants will apply a comprehensive MBSE/Digital Engineering methodology using SysML v2 to perform a focused task within an existing eVTOL Air Taxi model. The methodology, provided as a SysML v2 library, includes templates and work instructions supporting collaborative systems engineering.
Attendees will gain hands-on experience with key MBSE/DE activities, including:
• Supporting and overseeing systems engineering through agile processes, data and interface management, and stakeholder views
• Developing system processes aligned with ISO 15288 phases
• Implementing digital engineering practices that connect system development and analysis
• Analyzing system architecture for performance (via simulation), requirements compliance, safety and security conformance, and embedded software
The session demonstrates how structured methodology and clear guidance can significantly improve an organization’s digital engineering performance.
Target Audience:
Participants with conceptual MBSE knowledge and entry-level experience in SysML v1 or v2.
Schedule:
• 10 min – Ansys SAM presentation
• 15 min – Ansys Digital Engineering Methodology presentation
• 15 min – Overview of existing eVTOL Air Taxi SysML v2 model
• 20 min – Group exercise in User Story packages
• 30 min – Results integration and debrief
Proposed Tasks:
-
Add a proxy stakeholder acting as the Air Taxi Product Manager to the stakeholder list.
-
Redesign the rotor group from one motor driving two rotors to a configuration with two motors per group, each able to drive both rotors.
