Traceable MBSE for a Space System (CubeSat Example)

Effective communication across all stakeholders is always challenging when tools and languages are not fully understood by stakeholders. Systems modeling tools have a formal structure and notation that can be difficult for non-engineering stakeholders (e.g., marketing, management, or customers) to understand.

This hands-on tutorial style session will walk the user through the Traceable MBSE approach in Jama Connect and Cameo Systems Modeler using a notional CubeSat as the space system. The users will learn how to construct data-driven textural models that can be easily understood by all stakeholders and then combine that model with a SysML model in Cameo Systems Modeler. Traceability will be explored in depth and users will see and experiment with live updates to traceability metrics.
