OPP is the national regulatory body for the psychology profession, representing the psychologists in PT.

OPP is well-positioned to contribute to the creation and expansion of EU-wide networks in social economy and social finance, with a specific focus on psychology-led innovation and impact near citizens.

OPP having experience in research, continuous professional development, and partnerships development with representatives of the social network system in PT.

OPP supports entrepreneurial initiatives in areas such as community interventions, workplace mental health, psychoeducation, digital mental health services, literacy and communication.

As a potential partner in the European consortium, OPP offers unique added value through its capacity to mobilize professionals, its expertise in training and capacity building, and its strong links to public policy and social ecosystems.

With several national protocols, OPP promotes, and it’s represented in internal and external Commissions/internal and external Working Groups.

At national level, OPP belongs to the Healthy, Smart and Friendly Environments Portuguese Network; to the Advisory Council for the Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education; the National Council of Mental Health; The National Council of Professional Associations (CNOP).

At European Level, OPP belongs to EFPA – European Federation of Psychologists Associations, representations: at Boards of Ethics and Board of Promotion and Prevention; the e-Health and Psychotherapy Project Groups; 5 Standing Committees as Clinical Neuropsychology; Community Psychology, Psychology and Health; Geronpsychology; Psychology in Education.

OPP internationally belongs to the Iberoamerican Federation of Psychology Associations (FIAP) and integrates the Global Psychology Alliance (GPA).
