Yiota Veloudi is an Assistant Professor and serves as Research Development Lead at the University of Nicosia Medical School.
Dr Veloudi holds a PhD in Medicine (Medical Research with a focus on Cardiovascular Epidemiology) from the University of Tasmania (Australia). She graduated from Nottingham Trent University (UK) with a Master by Research in Exercise Physiology, from the University of Derby (UK) with a Master of Arts in Strategic Sports Management, and from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) with a BSc in Exercise Science and Physical Education.
Her research interests revolve around cardiovascular disease prevention and lifestyle medicine, with a focus on blood pressure phenotyping, including blood pressure variability), early vascular ageing, and arterial stiffness and central haemodynamics. She is particularly interested in the design and evaluation of pragmatic lifestyle interventions, especially physical activity and dietary approaches, in both prevention and risk-reduction settings, and in strengthening research methods and evidence synthesis to support high-quality clinical and public health decision-making.
