In a world of growing need for justified decision support and automated decision-making, Argument Theory offers the raison platform, a no-code symbolic artificial intelligence development platform that allows individual users or businesses to develop automated decision-making systems without any expertise on artificial intelligence techniques. All you need to know is your own problem and the type of solutions you want. raison promotes a new generation of AI system developers who have innovative application ideas and modeling skills but no programming skills, by offering them a no-code development environment that provides them with the skills they lack to make it happen. The technology behind the raison platform is based on computational argumentation, a modern approach to (Symbolic) Artificial Intelligence, an AI with reasoning and behavioral capabilities similar to that of a human.

His main research interests are in Engineering Intelligent Systems, Multi-agent Systems and Applications of Computational Argumentation in application domains such as health, medical data access, insurance, ambient assisted living, investment portfolios, the smart grid. He has experience as lecturer in pre- and post-graduate level. He has published 17 journal papers and more than 50 papers in conference/workshop proceedings with reviewers. He has experience in research and development projects. He has participated in more than 15 community funded projects with the roles of developer, technical manager, and project manager. He has also participated in industry funded projects, in two of them as principal investigator and in another as a consultant.

Nikolaos is also co-founder of the Argument Theory start-up company in Paris/France. Argument Theory offers rAIson, a no-code symbolic AI platform that democratizes the design and deployment of explainable and trustable AI applications. Built upon 25+ years of world-class research in computational argumentation, rAIson enables developers and organizations to build, deploy, and commercialize transparent, argumentation-based decision systems, writing zero code. rAIson is uniquely positioned in an AI landscape increasingly constrained by ethical, regulatory, and performance-based requirements. The platform bridges the gap between regulatory demands for explainability, transparency and industry’s hunger for scalable, trustworthy AI

Nikolaos is senior member of both IEEE and ACM. For more information visit https://users.isc.tuc.gr/~nispanoudakis/
