Hrvoje Mihovilović

I'm a nautical science graduate from Croatia's Faculty of Maritime Studies, with an unlimited Master's license. Throughout my career, I've gained extensive experience sailing on a variety of ships, including cargo vessels, ferries, and cruise ships. I've worked with well-known companies like the Mediterranean Shipping Company(MSC) and Carnival Corporation.

While at sea, I observed that the maritime transportation industry tends to be traditional and slow to embrace innovations. Surprisingly, navigational technology in this sector hasn't seen significant upgrades in the past three decades. As a result, the tools onboardships appear outdated, creating a noticeable contrast with themodern smartphones that crew members carry in their pockets.

In April 2021, after accumulating thirty years of invaluable experience, I took the initiative to establish ELNAV, a pioneering company dedicated to researching and developing advanced technologies aimed at enhancing navigation safety. My goal is to bridge the gap between traditional maritime practices and the advancements seen in other industries. I am committed to bringingtransformative changes that will revolutionize the safety andefficiency of maritime transportation.
