About

New photoelectrochemical technology converting CO2 to Carbon plus oxygen (C + O2) at room temperature and pressure. We produce pure 99.9% CB in a single reaction step, requiring extraction from the electrode without the need for purification. We have scaled the reactor from 1 L to 20 L with a proportional scaling in CB produced, producing gram quantities. We need to scale to industrial levels of 1000 tons CB for commercial sales. The cost of goods need to be further optimized.

Our CB is a sustainable breakthrough for a material whose manufacturing emits 5 ton CO2/ton CB, while our production removes 3.7 M CO2/ton CB. Assuming our energy consumption emits 0.7 M ton CO2/ton CB, compared with current methods we would remove 8 ton CO2/ton CB. Each year 15 M ton CB are produced, which means our technology could potentially save 120 ton CO2 per year.

We are looking for partners to develop specific applications, and for partners to submit grants together.
