About

Frazer-Nash brings together deep terrestrial process plant expertise and decades of space systems experience to support the development of robust, mission-ready ISRU solutions. We have a well-established process design capability, supporting clients from concept development through to detailed design, including optioneering, equipment sizing and selection, supplier engagement, system performance analysis, CFD and whole-system modelling.

Our experience is grounded in highly regulated, safety-critical sectors. In civil nuclear, Frazer-Nash has supported the industry for more than 30 years across the full lifecycle, including new build, advanced nuclear technologies, power generation, decommissioning, technical safety cases, reactor physics, fuel integrity, thermal hydraulics, auxiliary systems and radwaste, ventilation, cooling and fire systems.

In oil and gas, we have delivered technical and analytical services for more than a decade, supporting greenfield, brownfield and decommissioning projects, including subsea risers and flowlines, pipeline asset assessment, mechanical and structural integrity, life extension and safe operation of ageing assets.

Across sectors such as clean energy, defence, transport and advanced industrial systems, we apply systems engineering, modelling, simulation, asset integrity and safety assurance to complex engineering challenges where reliability, performance and risk management are critical.

This terrestrial process plant capability is complemented by direct experience in space systems, equipment and facilities. Frazer-Nash supports spacecraft and payload design, pioneering technology development, modelling and simulation, electrical systems design, cyber security, launch system capabilities, propulsion and rocket motor development, and spaceport-related activities.

We also bring current space programme experience, including ESA-funded work such as INVICTUS, where Frazer-Nash is leading concept and preliminary design activity for an integrated hypersonic flight system and reusable horizontal launch technologies.

For ISRU, this means we can combine proven process engineering from demanding terrestrial environments with space-domain know-how, helping clients translate complex resource extraction, processing, storage and utilisation concepts into credible, safe and deliverable systems.
