Das acib ist ein internationales Spitzenforschungszentrum auf dem Gebiet der industriellen Biotechnologie. Das Zentrum entwickelt neue, umweltfreundliche und wirtschaftlich sowie technisch fortschrittliche Prozesse für die Biotech-, Pharma- und chemische Industrie. Dabei nimmt es sich die Methoden und Werkzeuge der Natur zum Vorbild. Das acib verbindet anwendungsorientierte Forschung mit produzierender Industrie, um gemeinsam mit seinem Partner-Netzwerk wissenschaftliche Ergebnisse in effiziente Prozesse und innovative Produkte zu überführen. Stets mit dem Ziel, das Wohl von Mensch, Tier und Umwelt zu verbessern. Das acib ist ein wesentliches Bindeglied zwischen Forschung und Industrie und bildet derzeit ein Netzwerk aus etwa 200 wissenschaftlichen und industriellen Partnern auf dem Gebiet der industriellen Biotechnologie. Der Hauptsitz des acib ist in Graz. Weitere Standorte befinden sich in Tulln und Wien. Das Forschungszentrum arbeitet mit wissenschaftlichen Partnern weltweit zusammen.

Martin Trinker is an experienced business development and fundraising professional with a strong background in biotechnology. As Director Business Development & Fundraising at the Austrian Centre of Industrial Biotechnology (acib), he bridges the gap between cutting-edge research and industrial applications, fostering strategic partnerships and securing funding for groundbreaking innovations.
With a Ph.D. in Natural Sciences from Graz University of Technology and a track record in biocatalysis, protein engineering, and biopharmaceutical development, Martin combines scientific expertise with a keen eye for business opportunities. His career spans roles in research management, industry collaborations, and startup ecosystems, making him a valuable connector between science and industry.
