Bondalti Water can act as an industrial integrator and validation partner to de-risk flagship-scale deployment of SSbD bio-based chemicals/ingredients and biotech solutions for home and/or personal care applications, with a specific contribution where many projects fail at scale: water use, wastewater/effluent interfaces, pollutant release prevention (including microplastics), monitoring, and compliance-by-design. The topic explicitly links expected impacts to preventing pollution of waters and requires industrial-scale production and market-relevant formulation performance.

What we can contribute (work packages / tasks)

• Industrial integration of water loops and effluent management (TRL 8 readiness): engineering support for robust utilities and wastewater systems for the full-scale biorefinery/value chain producing SSbD solutions for the sector.

• Downstream compatibility and formulation performance: integration support to ensure the produced solution(s) meet formulation requirements (stability, shelf-life, efficacy), and to structure validation pathways for market-relevant end-products (targeting TRL 7+ for formulation).

• Data infrastructure, analytics, and digital monitoring: instrumentation strategies, data pipelines, and performance dashboards to evidence production stability, quality consistency, and SSbD KPIs during scale-up and operation.

• Regulatory and SSbD work package support: contribute operational/environmental datasets and testing plans to (i) assess safety using protocols aligned with EU regulatory requirements, (ii) identify regulatory gaps and bottlenecks, and (iii) apply the European Commission SSbD framework to targeted solutions and derived products.

• Multi-actor engagement for acceptance: support structured involvement of end-users and, where applicable, brand owners/consumers to address market acceptance and uptake requirements.
