About

Bondalti Water offers an industrial integrator and deployment partner role to de-risk full-scale implementation of SSbD bio-based fertilising and/or crop protection solutions by addressing the critical scale-up enablers highlighted in the topic: process robustness under variable feedstocks, formulation stability, water and effluent management, pollutant/microplastics prevention, and verifiable safety and sustainability performance.

What we can contribute (work packages / tasks)

  • Industrial process integration (TRL 8): engineering of utilities, water loops and wastewater management for flagship-scale production, ensuring stable operation under feedstock variability and cost-competitive performance.

  • Safe feedstock conditioning and contaminants control: design of pre-treatment and conditioning steps for residual bio-based streams (including water-sector residues where relevant) to minimise introduction of harmful biological/chemical contaminants into soil/crops/food chain, supporting the topic’s sanitary and environmental risk assessment needs.

  • Quality assurance for fertiliser routes (N/P/K variability control): monitoring, sampling plans and process-control logic to support reduced nutrient variability in end-products (where bio-based fertilisers are targeted).

  • Formulation and scale validation support (≥TRL 6): integration support for formulating the produced bio-alternatives into end-products and testing agronomic efficiency, safety and sustainability against market benchmarks.

  • Field demonstrators and monitoring (demo farms): technical contribution to on-field monitoring protocols (soil and water quality, pollutant/microplastics indicators), including data infrastructure for multi-site trials across different climatic and soil conditions.

  • SSbD implementation data package: provision of operational data (water/energy/chemicals, waste streams, emissions, pollutant release prevention) to support the mandatory SSbD assessment task.

  • Digital monitoring and modelling: online monitoring strategies, data pipelines, and hybrid modelling to quantify efficacy and stability, detect drift, and accelerate learning across pilot-to-flagship scale.
