Partner Search - HORIZON-CL5-2026-09-D2-01: Producing battery-grade materials for electrodes through sustainable processing and refining of raw materials

Bondalti Water offers industrial R&I and demonstration capacity at the water–materials circularity nexus to support HORIZON-CL5-2026-09-D2-01 (BATT4EU). We can provide industrial sites, operational data, and representative aqueous and solid side-streams from water/wastewater treatment (e.g., concentrates/brines, regenerants, sludges/residual solids) to enable resource recovery and sustainable refining routes towards battery-grade electrode-related materials and/or bio-based carbonaceous materials. We contribute process engineering for separation, purification, pre-treatment and integration, scale-up support for TRL 4–5 validation, and sustainability-by-design implementation through TEA, LCA/LCC and SSbD-aligned assessment, including environmental risk and replication/exploitation planning with end-users. We seek partners developing refining/upgrading technologies and battery materials validation to build EU value chains and reduce import dependency.
