About

The INEGI offers a strong track record of R&D over the past two decades, focusing on many aspects of design and manufacturing processes. Our strong background in computational mechanics allows us to support the development of advanced materials and our computational biomechanics group is internationally recognized for its work in soft tissue modeling and regeneration, including the development of material constitutive models from experimental tests. We want to share with you the expertise we can offer.

We have made significant contributions and have pioneered methodologies in the field of metal and polymeric additive manufacturing (AM), covering equipment development, process simulation/optimization, and experimentation, using our in-house machines. We offer a range of technical competencies, such as computational modeling and simulation, manufacturing process numerical simulation, multi-scale material modeling of AM, enhanced mechanical characterization of additive manufactured components, life cycle assessment, and technology transfer and dissemination.

Our team possesses relevant expertise and work within Industry 5.0 and Human Factors. We specialize in the design of human-centric approaches, making us a skilled resource for discussions on Industry 5.0. Our expertise allows us to optimize human-machine interactions in Industry 5.0, enhancing safety and productivity. Our knowledge is applied to design systems that accommodate human capabilities, minimizing errors and improving performance. Our methodologies allow machines to collaborate with humans, understanding their surrounding environment and operators' emotions.
