Looking for an Existing Tool to Manage and Search Audiovisual Content with Flexible Metadata

About
For some time now, we’ve encountered the same limitation: current review and collaboration tools (such as Frame.io) are excellent for sharing and commenting on video, but they don’t solve a key need we face daily in production and postproduction—cataloguing large volumes of audiovisual content using flexible, structured metadata and being able to search and preview that content within a single platform.
Our current workflow relies on rigid, spreadsheet-like databases combined with cloud storage, which does not scale and forces teams to search metadata in one place and access the video in another. For this reason, we’re launching this challenge to companies developing DAM/MAM platforms, video collaboration tools, or cloud-based postproduction software, to explore whether an existing solution can address this problem. We are not looking to build a tool from scratch, but to identify a product that already supports flexible metadata models, direct video preview, and powerful search—designed for real audiovisual production workflows, not just for archival purposes.
