About

The UKRI-funded MAXFEED project explores the potential of prebiotic and stimbiotic xylo-oligosaccharide (XOS) ingredients derived from Miscanthus for use in animal feed, food, and beverage applications. Alongside this, MAXFEED is investigating Miscanthus as a sustainable, renewable fuel source, with added value from the co-production of biochar for combustion-grade use.

We are currently seeking research partners interested in evaluating Miscanthus-derived XOS in the context of animal or human nutrition and health. We are happy to supply XOS samples for use in studies focused on its functional benefits and applications.
