Mattia is a Senior Computational Engineer specializing in physics simulations, optimization algorithms, and high-performance software for engineering applications. With a robust academic backgroung, Mattia combines scientific rigor with practical innovation.
His professional journey spans multiple sectors, including green energy, automotive, and manufacturing. At Qtool, which he co-founded, Mattia led the development of a cloud-based generative CAD platform to optimize plastic injection tool design through simulation and optimization algorithms. Prior to this, he spearheaded the creation of a proprietary structural and thermal optimization solver at Adige Calculations and developed fuel cell optimization software at Bramble Energy, contributing to the hydrogen economy.
Mattia's career began in motorsports engineering, optimizing thermal systems at Casa del Radiatore and Lotus Cars, where he prototyped lightweight cooling systems and supported the shift to electric propulsion.
A passionate developer, Mattia is proficient in Rust, Python, Julia, C++, and C, and is experienced with HPC, WebAssembly, and FEM tools such as OpenFOAM and COMSOL. He is also the author of two technical handbooks on GNU/Linux and OpenFOAM.
Driven by curiosity and purpose, he balances engineering with volunteer work, mountain biking, and carpentry, embodying both technical excellence and social engagement.
