About me

Ilario Truppa is Head of Sales and shareholder of OC Group (OC Open Consulting SB Srl), an Italian benefit company that designs secure open source learning platforms and technical training for industry, defence and public administration.

He has more than ten years of experience in complex digital training projects, from multimedia content production to the architecture of learning and skills management platforms.

He leads OC Group's work in the Horizon Europe project DIAMETER (GA 101177422, Cluster 4, Twin Transition), where OC Group is responsible for the Training & Capacity Building work package and is building an interactive academy for workforce upskilling in circular manufacturing. He also manages the modernisation of BELADL, the learning management system of the Belgian Ministry of Defence, which serves more than 23,000 users on ILIAS.

  • Instructional design for technical and industrial training

  • Open source LMS (ILIAS, Moodle) compliant with GDPR, with no proprietary lock-in

  • Secure integrations (LTI 1.3, SAML/OIDC) and hosting management

  • Communication, dissemination and learner engagement in EU-funded projects

  • AI-supported training tools and learning analytics

He holds a technical diploma in computer science and certifications in cybersecurity, AI and GDPR, and has completed the NCP Virtual Campus course on Horizon Europe fundamentals. He teaches instructional design and multimedia content development in ESF+ 2021-2027 vocational training projects in Italy.

He is open to roles as work package leader or partner for training, communication, dissemination and AI-supported learning in Horizon Europe projects, and to direct cooperation with companies that need technical training or a corporate academy.
