Seeking Industry Partner for Field Testing

director at SensiImage UK

Bodmin, United Kingdom

About

We offer an AI-driven wearable communication system that digitises and verifies hand signals in real time to improve safety and productivity during heavy lifting operations.

We are seeking technical collaborations for field testing, validation, and operational feedback under a commercial agreement with technical assistance. We are a UK safety technology company developing an AI-enabled wearable device designed to enhance communication in heavy lifting, construction, offshore, and industrial environments where hand signals and two-way radios are standard.

System Overview

  • Sensor-equipped gloves detect and interpret standardised hand signals in real time.

  • AI algorithms filter noise, prevent misinterpretation, and provide data logging for audits and incident review.

  • The system delivers real-time, two-way digital communication without relying on verbal or visual contact, improving safety in noisy, obstructed, or long-distance operations.

Collaboration Objective

SensiImage UK Ltd seeks a Tier One construction or engineering partner to sponsor, facilitate, and support field testing and validation at TRL7, aiming to reach TRL10 by the end of the pilot. Any new IP remains owned by the company.

We seek a non-equity collaboration under a commercial agreement with tech assistance. The system offers a step-change in safety communication by addressing the limitations of radios and manual hand signals, the dominant methods used in crane and lifting operations.

Key Advantages

  • Data capture and incident analysis: Unlike radios or manual signals, the system automatically logs communication for post-incident review, supporting safety compliance with auditable records.

  • Eliminates human misinterpretation: By converting standard signals into digital commands, the system reduces errors caused by distance, obstruction, or environmental conditions.

  • Operates independently of radio frequencies, ensuring clear communication in congested or high-noise areas.

  • No specialised training required: The system mirrors existing industry hand signals, enabling rapid adoption with minimal onboarding.

  • Closed-loop communication: Real-time confirmation of signal receipt and execution provides a critical safety layer absent in traditional methods.

  • Expected to reduce communication-related lifting incidents by 30%–50%.

Ideal Partner Profile

A Tier One construction or civil engineering company with expertise in high-risk lifting operations, safety systems, and innovation adoption. The partner should:

  • Provide access to heavy lifting assets and controlled test environments (tower, crawler, or mobile cranes).

  • Offer qualified lifting supervisors, crane operators, and rigging teams for comparative testing and feedback.

  • Engage HSE teams to evaluate safety impact, reliability, and compliance.

  • Support assessment of AI accuracy, environmental resilience, and integration with digital systems such as site platforms or digital twins.

  • Involve engineering and innovation teams to review scalability, deployment feasibility, and system integration.

  • Demonstrate strategic commitment to improving site safety, digital transformation, and industry innovation.

Partner Sought

We seek a Tier One organisation within construction, heavy lifting, infrastructure, or engineering, directly involved in crane operations and complex lifts. The partner should have:

  • In-house safety and innovation teams

  • Experience adopting and testing new safety technologies

  • The capability to sponsor field trials and provide real-world operational access

Target Sectors

Industries where hand signals and two-way radios remain essential for safe lifting: construction, crane operations, heavy lifting, offshore oil & gas, and related sectors.

Desired Outcome

To achieve full field validation under real operational conditions, generating data and performance evidence required for market launch. The partnership will combine our technology with the partner’s operational expertise to:

  • Jointly develop a global safety system that reduces lifting incidents and improves productivity

  • Provide the partner early access to breakthrough safety innovation

  • Position the partner as a leader in safety technology adoption
